Seras was founded using traditional market and industry evaluations combined with our team’s strengths and fit with local opportunities: barriers to entry, customer education and demand, existing relationships, relevant experience, to name some of the determining factors. The driving force behind our founder’s decision to move forward with providing computer and systems services and eventually complete managed services was stated to him by his existing document management customers:
Multiple high-level executives within large administrative firms in Columbia stated that their current IT vendors were consistently hours or days late, unkempt and sloppy, difficult to understand and somewhat arrogant, unorganized and sporadic with invoicing and documentation, and even that they smelled bad!
These interviews confirmed that our management team was a perfect fit to get the right systems in place to meet these not-so-unique customer demands. We started with a simple philosophy: remain professional and organized with honesty and integrity in everything we do. Last year alone we sent out over 200 invoice line items that were $0.00 – documented assistance that our team believed did not warrant an hour of billable time or that should be discounted to ensure the highest value possible to the customer. Additionally, we performed hundreds of Performance Assessment Visits – un-scheduled on-site evaluations to ensure safety and efficiency, provide industry insights, and answer any lingering questions that lower-level staff may not have raised.
