Environmentally Focused
Becoming paperless offers a list of trickle-down benefits that end up saving businesses money while reducing their environmental impact. Digitally storing documents lessens the need for costly hardware purchases like copiers, printers, and paper, thus reducing one’s carbon footprint. Seras IT’s goal is to recycle 244 trees worth of paper in 2023 and to grow that number by 25% annually. Seras IT’s management is actively engaged in various conservation efforts throughout the Southeast. By scanning and shredding stored records, customers are able to contribute to the use of re-usable products. Furthermore, the cycle of waste is eliminated through complete conversion to electronic records management.
Committed to our Local Community
As a local service provider, Seras IT places great value in giving back to those communities it serves. We have helped A place for Hope in Rock Hill, SC in which we served at-risk youth in what is deemed the most impoverished community in South Carolina. Seras IT organized a day of social interaction with the youth, offering positive encouragement in becoming productive citizens in their community. Seras IT also donated the means necessary for the community to enjoy home cooked meals every Tuesday night.
We have also hosted events at Promise House of York County, Bridges Clubhouse, and The Haven. These events included a wide range of maintenance updates both inside and outside of facilities from plumbing and hardware repairs to painting and landscaping.
We have helped local churches in maintaining their Community Garden in which the produce and harvest that comes from those gardens is given to the Harvest Hope Food Bank. The mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion and education.
We also had the opportunity to educate local campers that attend Camp M.A.T.E.S. Camp M.A.T.E.S. is a Non-profit Organization and a theory-driven sports, social skills, nutrition, and academic/life skills summer camp for children and adolescents with social skills deficits, including but not limited to ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, and other developmental disabilities. We had the privilege of teaching the campers in a fun and interactive way using puzzles, quizzes and the inside of a computer tower. We taught the campers about computer internals, networking, coding and talked about all of the many career opportunities in the Computer and I.T. industry.

Our team visited Gaston Farms and helped convert an old bus into a much-needed classroom for camps and equine therapy sessions. It was cold, but we got it done!
